Trying to locate a receipe for an old Tobacco that is no longer available.

I recall my father use to smoke an aromatic blend called Crosby Square in the 1960s.  I tried to find out more about this blend as I remember the aroma was quite pleasant and from what my father described as quite a taste but mild blend.  The original company was Christian Peper Tobacco Co., then it became The Bloch Bros Tobacco Co., then Kentucky Club then I heard it was sold to The John Middleton Company which is, I believe, no longer around.  While I am sure that none of this tobacco exists, I was wondering if there are any seasoned smokers who may have smoked this blend and may be able to tell me how I can recreate this blend.  Any guidance would be most appreciated.

This is most likely a real long shot but, there's a tobacco called "Crooner" that supposedly was the one smoked by Bing Crosby. I've heard it's pretty good and it's one of the few blends that has Deer Tongue in it, an additive that I've been using lately.

@Woodsman - Sounds great but they are very different blends.  Bing may have tried Crosby Square pipe tobacco but that was not named after him and was not his blend of tobacco.  Crosby Square is the name associated with a town in old London and was originally Crosby Place back in 1516.  I thought the tobacco and the singer were associate when I was younger.  Went to a tobacco shop many years ago and asked for the tobacco that Bing Crosby smoked. That's when I learned that Bing's tobacco was completely different from the Crosby Square mixture Which is a Burley base.  I just do not recall what the other components in the blend were but I can recall that it was a very pleasing aromatic an flavorful smoke. Much appreciated!

never heard of crosby blend but middleton is around, i believe, they make carter hall and prince albert, if i'm not mistaken...

just checked and it appears that middleton is owned by altria, but on a page that lists their products, no mention of crosby blend

@motie2 - Thanks motie2, much appreciated!  Funny, I can still remember that same display just as it use to appear Sun Ray's Drug store in my neighborhood in the early 60s.  Sadly, neither the display nor the drug store are here anymore.  Rite Aid (carries very limited pipe tobacco) and CVS (no longer carries any tobacco or smoking related items) are the big drug stores now.

@motie2 -- My quest for searching for Crosby Square pipe tobacco has ended.  I found, and purchased three Crosby Square 8 oz tins from Pipestud's Consignment Shop. The stock is from around 1997 according to the website and produced under the Kentucky Club label in the Wheeling, WV period.  Looking forward to smoking this blend again.  It was listed at $35 for each 8 oz tin.  So thank you for introducing me to that site.  Much appreciated!
