It's a couple of days early but the wife talked me into going shopping for my Fathers Day gift from her. She suggested I find a new pipe. So I picked out this Mastro Bernaldi.
My wife didn't really get me anything for Father's Day (I'm notoriously hard to shop for because I buy something if I really want it), so I splurged a little and grabbed the above blending kit. Blending will be a fun exercise, but I'm most excited to use the tasting journal to note down each individual tobacco impressions. I haven't had the prior opportunity to smoke individual things outside of blends.
Thanks @pappyjoe , @mangoandy I was totally blown away when I open the box. I told my wife a couple of different ideas but this is the one that her and the kids picked. WooHoo! That is one outstanding pipe @pappyjoe you received I really like the blast on it. The disk at the end of the shank is really nice it makes it pop. I agree with you @mgvsquared I think this kit is going to be a lot of great fun, I have never tried component tobaccos individually nor really made any real blends like this. I have dappled with mixing a couple of completed blends for a different flavor. I am really looking forward to this kit.
