Best Tobacco for a bent apple

I have a gorgeous new Peterson I got for Christmas.  It is a number 03 shape (their bent apple).  I am trying to decide what type of tobacco to smoke out of this pipe.  Does anyone have any recommendations on  which type of tobacco would best complement the burning mechanics of this particular shape. (Virginias, Virginia periques, English, or Aromatics)

@Subtilis87, personally I would start out with a Virginia, or Virginia/Perique blend in that pipe. A lot hinges on the particular cut or consistency of a particular blend. You can transition from Virginia to Latakia easily, but may need to have a Latakia pipe cleansed, using the Kosher salt treatment, or sending your pipe to Mike Meyer's for an Ozone treatment. Getting a Latakia pipe back to neutral, may allow you to enjoy Virginia based blends in a particular pipe, if that is what you decide may be the best course of action.

Starting with a Virginia makes sense to me. I like Lane Ready Rubbed for breaking in pipes, myself.

Thank you Gentleman ( @xDutchX  and @judandhispipe)  I think I will start it off with some Orlick Golden Sliced or maybe McClelland Virginia Woods.
