Pipe Smoking at the Horse Races

Anybody notice whether or not there are pipe smokers at horse racing events?  I know popular culture tends to think of cigar smoking as part of that culture, but what about pipes?

A pipe has come with me on a number of outings to the local race track here in Louisville. Yes, cigars remain the hip thing on the scene. But it takes more than being hip to consistently win, place, or show.

If I ever get to Churchill Downs, I'll look for a pipe smoker and introduce myself.

Big race coming up Saturday at Gulfstream Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  California Chrome is running his last race.  Winner take all, $12 Million.  That's a lot of tobacco!!
