Andullo

Anyone have any experience with Andullo tobacco? From what I can find it is from the Dominican region. Tightly wrapped in some kind of leaf and hemp style rope for two years to ferment. I would expect banana leaves due to the area.

Andullo is a rare tobacco grown from the Rabito and Quin Diaz tobacco in the Dominican Republic. Even though it is largely unknown in the modern world, it has been enjoyed in the Caribbean for more than 500 years. The cigar leaf is tightly bound for two years to create a dark and flavorful tobacco.

Andullo is currently used in a few cigars, and Lane recently released Andullo pipe tobacco tins. It's a bit funky when you smell it in the tin, but trust me guys, it smokes beautifully.

Have only seen it listed on pipes and cigar. Out of stock of course. Have heard about it a few times on some podcasts.

I heard Max Stokkebye talking about it on Country Squire Radio, but it sounded like it was coming soon more than anything. I'm not surprised it is "out of stock." I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't been in stock yet, but the sites have placeholders for it when it arrives.

I tried it at IPCPR, was excellent, I snagged a tin recently now that it's out - some good stuff.  If you've had Indonesian Tambolaka, the style is similar except Tambolaka is super harsh, the cavendish in Andullo mellows it out.
