dungeons and dragons nerds?

Ok who here is a D&D nerd and what is your preferred system? For me I am a first edition system purist,that left more to the imagination and was "role" playing..not "rule" playing like the later editions!

Also has anyone ever used the arms law/claw law battle system?

I am, but i actually prefer a d10 system, Word of Darkness/Vampire/Werewolf etc. I always seem to end up the DM/GM, so i reward roleplaying a LOT more than players who are numbers gamers. If we are doing a d20 system, i prefer Pathfinder.

No D&D or WoW, just some T&A as often as possible.

I haven't played D&D, but I have some friends that are really into it. If I lived closer, I'd join them in their campaign. Otherwise, I've often thought of picking up the Mouse Guard Tabletop RPG.

I do play many JRPG video games, which have D&D influences in them.

I've done a lot of pen & paper based RPGs, but never did much with fantasy. Did a lot more with science fiction systems. I've done a lot with Traveller, Daredevils,and GURPS.

Have done some pen & paper rpgs in the past, but nothing recently, and never D & D. My favorite two systems, which I still own, were published by SPI back in 1980/81: Dragonquest  and Universe.
