I have an odd Carey pipe (no pun intended - it's one of the ones you advised me on staining a while back) with a slightly taller than usual bowl and thin walls, and it's hard to keep the bowl from getting "hot to hold".... Bad design, I guess. Your's won't have that problem.....

By the way, seeing your card in the pic reminds me. I found 12 of your cards left from last years StL Pipe Show. I will be bringing them along with your 5 pipes as examples this February and see if I can drum you up some more business...
Great looking pipes. Staining them all similar, or mixing them up (light stained, dark stained, natural, etc.)?... Third one down looks like a prime candidate for a two-tone...
I see some good looking grain in those pipes, @Corey562 . Give them some nice contrast, eh? BTW, I got two blocks yesterday and some ebonite, so will be working on a pipe soon.
@Corey562 Out of curiosity, do you use a lathe or a hole-saw to shape the bowls, or is it all freehand work? Also how do you drill the chamber, mortise, and tenon? With a drill press or freehand on a lathe or drill mounted in a vise horizontal, or maybe a drill press mounted horizontal? A couple of those Pokers you made had a nice look to them.
