Anyone know about the Galway Series from Peterson?

So I just made a score on a beautiful Peterson Galway 502 Straight Apple. Somehow I got this thing... it barely needs cleaned up, I'm salting the bowl now and I will give it a polish when i get home. The reason I am posting this is that I can not find much information on the Galway series. It has a nifty briar ring around the stem. I know they do not sell them anymore, I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me more about them

@drac2485 Thanks. That sheds some light. European only, and from the 3 line stamp, made before 1989.

I did see a picture and they are a beautiful pipe.  Its kind of like the Peterson Supreme's from my birth year (1985) that have a briar ring around the P in the stem.  Somehow I was lucky enough to find 2 different shapes to have in my collection.
