I use Mason Jars and Baby food jars if they are being used then I clean out old jelly jars and use them. I like glass with metal lids or glass jars with them glass and rubber sealed snap lids.
One thing I didn't see and think should be on the list, maybe I missed it but if not here goes! Everyone who has more than one container of Pipe Tobacco should have moisture chips, Humidity chips or what ever you call them, some glass humidors that are on Pipe racks have a Moisture stone and they are great, if you store in Mason Jars like I do and many others do it is handy to get them little chips or cards that keep the moisture in.
I need a way to contain all my pipe tools, ie, pipe, cleaners, tamper, lighter, pipe stand, tobacco, etc. At my last pipe club, I was informed that my tie dyed tote bag was not dignified! Working on getting a more dignified leather case to hold everything.
LOL If it holds your stuff then be happy, better than not having anything for it all. I wouldn't have a tie dye bag but I sure wouldn't put anyone down that did. Personally I am thinking about getting a hard case with foam in it. They make them for pipes now but I think I might get a pelican that way if I travel they are safe. lol

Sad but true.
I'd go wandering thru the Surplus sites, I use a Gas Mask Bag to haul a pound or so of gear.
