Saw a lot of bad pipes today

Wife and I made one of our routine antique shop/mall excursions today. Only bought an 8-pipe rack but saw some interesting old pipes. Two were Marxman Algerian Briar pipe that may have been worth the $30 apiece except for the long cracks running down the bowls. One was a Westbrook made by Linkeman & Co. Before they became Grabow. It was a bulldog that someone had threaded a plastic stem into. The last good one was a Longchamps he was asking $50 for. The leather was in good shape but the bowl was so badly burned it was missing chunks out of the rim. I politely told the guy that it wasn't worth $5 in the condition it was in. The stem was too loose also.
