Basket Pipes

I bought a couple of cheap pipes made in Italy for yard work and travel wanted some beater pipes. Wasn't expecting much but they turned out to be excellent smokers.

Has anybody else got that inexpensive pipe that turned out to be a diamond in the ruff?

I have several basket pipes that turned out to be great smokers. Heck even cheaper my Cob Country Gentalman is an amazing smoke

Between my cobs and the few basket pipes I have acquired, they are all great smokes.  I have some more expensive pipes that don't even smoke as well.

I've gotten several marked "Irish Seconds" over the years - and until recently learned that they are actually Peterson seconds. And they all smoked great.

I bought several cheap pipes over the years on ebay and they all have smoked great, and I have purchased some more expensive pipes that weren't so great, every once in awhile you find a great cheap pipe.

I've had good luck with Basket Pipes, I really look them over like a DI Sargent checking my M1, mainly I check the bore and alignment.
