Alcohol and Tobacco

I love whiskey and I love tobacco. However, when I put them together the whiskey almost always overpowers the smoke. Mixing it with coke helps, but the taste of the tobacco is still masked. Have any of you had this problem?

I don't mean to make light of your question, Brother, but who cares? Good whiskey vs Good Tobac. Let them fight it out!
Please share these recipes sir!

I suppose you are right! lol
You could try “smoking” your whiskey glass with the tobacco you are planning on stuffing in your pipe. I could see a smoky or peaty whiskey/whisky overpowering a smoke though, especially a straight virginia.
I will show you tonight when I make mine.
Is it a problem with all tobacco blends you smoke or just one?
Yeah its with pretty much every blend I have tried.
alright I look forward to seeing it
Thats an interesting tip thank you. I'll let you know how it goes
I understand that feeling all to well. I feel bad bringing my own tobacco to a cigar bar. Even if I buy a drink
I went looking for the video that SmokingPipes.com had on “whiskey glass smoking cocktail”, but it looks like it is no longer up. Probably some stupid government overreach ban on smoking related subject matter.
Your probably right. I don't know why... more people die of eating too much crap than they do tobacco usage. Thank you for looking though.
