Can anyone ID this item?

Someone gave me some of these small items from Savinelli and I don't know what they are.  They're made of thick cardboard and are just shy of two inches tall.  Anyone have any idea what this thing is?

Guessing: prop for a pipe?
Stick your stem through the hole, then lean the top toward the rim and see if it does, in fact, hold the pipe.?.?

@KA9FFJ @RockyMountainBriar That's what I was thinking myself, but the hole is too small to fit the end of the stem through.

It goes between the shank and stem on/over the tenon.

I have received those from any Rattrays pipes I have ordered. I believe they are sent to retailers to stand pipes up in the case by placing them in-between the stem and the bowl in order to stand the pipe "up right" in the case. Why on earth anyone would need this at home I have no idea.

I don't think @TakeMeToTheShire really needs it. It was given to him and he was just trying to figure out it's purpose.
Kind of like my garage workshop: half the stuff I don't need, and I'm still trying to figure out how some of it works...😏

Brothers, you all have logical explanations. After great study and thought, IMHO, I have no idea what the hell it is.
