@mfresa, @jfreedy; Like a lot of things in life, only those that have served really know. While my son and family are on vacation, my bride and I are babysitting their dog. Maverick is really sweet, but he is always on the wrong side of the door. But I digress, Happy Father's Day, Brothers!
I hope all my friends on here had a wonderful Fathers Day! I had a quiet day, spending time with family, playing D&D, a great bbq dinner at a restaurant, and now enjoying my Savinelli Bing before bed.
Yesterday, I spent my afternoon with my father, taking care of yard work and cleaning up fallen branches from a nasty storm that passed through last week. My dad's right arm has been bothering him and he can't use it properly, so I was more than happy to help him out. I gave him a Bulldog pipe I picked up from @KA9FFJ from the St. Louis Pipe Show, along with a pipe tool, cleaners, and pipe tobacco (including a kind donation from @mapletop). My dad has been a lifelong cigarette smoker and hasn't smoked a pipe. I don't know if he'll take to it, or even use it, but I hope he can find solace in it.
