What I did not Know about Tobacco
Watched a video of Mac Barren's Per Georg Jensen that was posted which as usual took me down a rabbit hole on YouTube.
I thought is might be fun and educational to start a thread on tobacco growing and processing.
So here are my first three entrees

Excellent! I'm surrounded by tobacco crops and know a good bit about growing/cultivating it from the local farmers, but I'm certainly no expert. I'm also vague on the curing side of it, so this will help a lot.
i watched those too. I got a
whole new perspective on tobacco. I think I missed my calling. I’d love to be a blender. What a great job that must be.

Was there ever any use for this plant? I heard about healing remedies. But it's a big leaf plant and one has to wonder what other uses this plant has or had. God didn't make it for nothing because everything has a purpose.
I don't always believe what's in Wikipedia..in fact, no one should, but this is a rather benign topic so I'm inclined to believe this post in it on the history of tobacco. I don't know if it answers all your questions, but it should answer some of them
