I asked for cash and I got it from my wife and kids. I've gone that route for several years now, Christmas, Birthday, Father's Day, Anniversary. That way it saves them shopping and I can buy what I want. No exchange or need to wear an ugly tie or sweater. Everybody wins.

I got two tins of interesting blends. Unfortunately, me and my family have acquired a bad cold. They are calling for 6 or more inches tomorrow. I AIN'T shoveling!  That confounded white stuff will just sit there until it melts or until someone is strong enough to shovel.

I share your frustration with snow. I guess the older I get the more I hate it. Arthritis has turned me into a whimp!

@opipeman,  Normally, I enjoy dealing with snow.  Growing up in FL, we saw about 1/2" of snow once in about a decade.   We are in Northern IL, so snow is coming soon. I often say, "There is a limit to how much clothes you can take off, but no limit on how much you can wear."

Better snow than this crappy weather we're having. Past three days it's been in the 80s. Sunday the high is forecast for the low 60s and dropping into the 50s for Monday. Then we're back in the upper 70s for three days.

I’m glad I don’t live in Louisiana, mosquitoes, roaches, kissing bugs, alligators, water moccasins, humidity, nasty, all of it.   I’ll take the snow.  It’s been snowing off and on for a few days, but not much has accumulated because it’s been around 0F…no real chance for big heavy snow.  Just like the summer’s “dry” heat, this low temp winter snow is “dry” snow 🙂. I think Felix is pretty happy inside though.

Santa brought me the Savinelli Dante bent brandy, #611 of 700. He also brought me a green Xikar Enso cigar cutter and a little bit of cash that I used to get a box of Romeo y Julieta House of Capulet. My Secret Santa from This Pipe Life sent me two ounces of Baker Street, Hunting Creek, and Bag End from The Country Squire. 

It was a pretty nice Christmas!

Seriously, I'm a semi-retired self-employed print advertising designer. The main client I still do work for owns four grocery stores and is one I've worked with for over 20 years. I also portray Santa during the Christmas season and I've done his private party for the past two years. Christmas 2020, we shared a glass of Blanton's. This past Christmas he gifted me a bottle of Blanton's. He keeps some of the high end whiskeys on his purchase order from his liquor distributor and in November he received four bottles of Blanton's. Instead of selling them in one of his stores, he decided to buy them all for himself. He give two of them as gifts.
