O God, who is Liberator and Redeemer, Lawgiver and Judge, on this Independence Day, we invoke your continued blessing on our Republic.
May America remain loyal to the principles of the Declaration of Independence.
Keep from our midst all manner of oppression, persecution, and unjust discrimination; save us from religious, racial and class conflicts.
Instruct us in the art of living together; of reconciling differences of opinion, and averting clashes of interest; of helping one another to achieve a harmonious and abundant life.
May America be ever hospitable to new revelations of truth in science and philosophy, ever sensitive to the appeal of beauty in nature and art, ever responsive to the call of duty and the spirit of religious consecration and worship.

@mapletop Agricultural markets are supply and demand and influenced by market capitalism. Supply is low due to the restocking of restaurant inventory while consumer demand remains high. Food is still cheap, you buy supermarket chicken for less than my cost to produce it on a small scale for family and friends. BTW the lack of feed corn due to weather losses has caused beef producers to sell cattle at a loss.
@Balisong I will admit that both food and energy tend to be more volatile than other sectors of the economy and there is truth to the affects of supply chain gaps.
But the issue of inflation is not solely due to an over heating of the economy due to the return of commercial activity post covid.
Every time the government borrows insane sums of money as well as printing more, our currency is devalued which isn't generally considered inflation however the effect is the same.
Diluting the currency and redistributing it (illegally in many cases I might add) is the game being waged.

It's called vote buying in some parts of the country.
Gentlemen, what I've found to be true over the years is that Democrat or Republican, inflation or recession my life remains unaffected. I'm in the middle of the road both politically and economically. I vote against extremists and live within my means.
USA birthday coming up next week. Got to make sure red white and blue shirt, pants and boxers are laundered! Guess I need to find a r/w/b pipe to complete the outfit!
I still love my country. With all her imperfections, she is the best thing going and has been that for over two centuries. If our time as a nation is over, there will not be another to replace us that can begin to compare. I find in these years of my life, the more America's enemies attack her, the more I want to defend her. That oath I took is still in effect, so tread carefully all enemies, foreign and domestic. Happy Birthday, U.S.A. You will always be MY country.
It is funny! The only problem I have with the article is that he calls cats, communists, but I see them as true capitalists! They're simply capitalizing on human obedience...I mean, who wouldn't, right? LOL
