Nice seeing him again. I guess I'm not the only one who let his beard go naturally grey. When I first saw him I thought his health was poor because he appeared to age considerably since his last video. They when he announced he stopped darkening this chops and let them go naturally grey I realized his facial features hadn't aged all that much ... it was simple the greying mutton chops that changed his appearance since his last video.
Really strange how something like the beard on your face - which developed sometime after adolescence - seems to grey quicker than the hair on your head which has been a fixture since shortly after you were born. Should be the other way around. I initially decided that once the hair my head went grey then I'd stop dyeing my beard. But my hair ... although thinner - is still the same color as when I was a kid. But with my fluffy white beard there is no mistaking me for a young guy anymore. So I decided to go with the flow and let Father Time have his way with me.
Same here @ghostsofpompeii I tried to fight it and then decided, it's life. We all age and you can't hide it, what's the point? I grew a beard for the first time in my life and guess what? It's white.
I’ve only shaved my upper lip once in my life. I shaved it off my first year of college because my roommate said it would grow in thicker, it did. So I had a bare upper lip only one day back in 1982, once I was old enough to grow “lip-fuzz” anyway. I go back and forth with beards though. Interestingly, that same roommate wanted to grow goatee’s. Kind of a challenge, he said he would if I would...I declined. Who would have ‘thunk” it, we would have been a few years ahead of the goatee resurgence several years later. Yep, I’ve grown a few goatees in my life since. I use to have a glorious head of hair that was past the middle of my back...no really. Then IT happened, receding hairline, and it’s just gotten worse🙁. I have never dyed my hair or beard, what’s the use, the baldness gives me away. I wish I had gray hair, you long haired lucky bastards🙂. I buzzed mine down in 1999 and that’s where I sit.....no hair on my head. I’ll have to make do with my mustache/beard.
