Just wondering how everyone reads their books, I'm looking for digital resources to read books on my phone

I’m about half and half, some books, some on Kindle or Nook. Prefer books, but it’s a matter of space.Either read on nook or IPad. iPhone just to small.

I prefer paper or hardbacks but with the pandemic and the semi-quarantine, I find my self using the Amazon Kindle reader. Since I signed up for Kindle Unlimited on Amazon, I've been averaging five books a week. Mainly I'm reading mindless fiction and fantasy that borders on pulp fiction. I also like old detective/mysteries from Agatha Christie and George Bellairs.

Most of times I use Kindle, it is more practical but for technicals books prefer paper,

I like the feel of a real book in your hands ... either paperback or hardcover. When I find myself in a waiting room at the doctor's office or the hospital I'm the only one in the room reading an honest to God book. Everyone else is either looking at a smart phone or tablet.

I like highlighting and underlining. Found out early that green highlighter doesn't show up on copying machines.

I spend far too much time in front of a screen. I prefer to hold a book or magazine.

I read my books starting at the first page and continuing to the last. On each page I start at the first word on the left in the first sentence at the top, then I continue this until I reach the last word on the right in the last sentence at the bottom, then I either move my eyes over to the first word on the left at the top of the opposing page, or I turn the page depending upon whether I was on the left-hand page before or on the right-hand page before. If, in fact, I was on the opposing page before, and after turning the page, I once again start at the first word on the left in the first sentence at the top. This practice continues until the final page is reached. 

If I'm reading in Hebrew, I reverse the order on each page (i.e., I start at the first word on the right at the first sentence on top)

Complicated, I know, but it's how I read a book.

My parents built a house with several floor to ceiling bookcases. My son carried an armload of books, every week, to and from the library. The whole family reads voraciously. But now, most of our book purchases are on the Kindle. It saves shelve space. And, if the house burned down, we could restore the books onto a new Kindle.
