I know you should not put pipe tobacco in a humidor. My son just gave me his 7ft tall humidor for my cigars. I have all my pipe tobacco in ball jars. You think it would matter to put the tobacco in my humidor in the jars

The only possible issue might be that the high humidity could start to rust the bands from the outside?

I injoy my pipe more than cigars that's why I was looking to put pipe tobacco in it. Can't afford to put that many cigars it

You should be fine as long as you don’t put any humidifing agent in it or don’t plug it in.

Hi PappyJoe, my son and his wife Master chief Coast Guard retired and can't take this humidor with him.so I got it. Mainly for looks I wanted to put pipe tobacco that's in mason jars, tins along with cigars in the humidor . May not work but that's what I was trying to do.
