Hydrogen Peroxide

Gentlemen

Halftime in the NFL game I am watching, so I pop on to Facebook just to see what is new. For the second day in a row I see a post regarding Hydrogen Peroxide and its' multitude of uses. The ones that caught my attention were the items relative to using it as a cleaner. Has anyone ever tried, or know whether this might be a way to clean pipe stems of oxidation? And if so in the positive, can the stems be "soaked" like can be done in "Oxiclean"? I know both are "oxygenated" (H2O2) and might be very similar (many, many years since my last chemistry class). In the past I have soaked stems in "Oxyclean" but they still require quite a bit of work afterward. Always looking for shortcuts.
