Riders Of The Storm...
We are on the eastern edge of Tropical Storm Barry at the moment.
Not really that much happening though. The forecast is for occasional bands of heavy rain but nothing lasting very long. Then again, New Orleans got 7.5" of rain in two hours yesterday.
Looking out the window right now and we have partly cloudy skies and bright sunshine. It will change soon I'm sure.
Earlier this morning, I took the time to enjoy a smoke on the front porch area when one of the rain bands was passing through.
It moved on after 30 minutes and neighborhood kids came out. They weren't playing around though but took it upon themselves to start cleaning out the drains to keep the water from backing up.
There may be hope for the next generation after all...
