Do you enjoy smoking while listening to music, watching TV, reading a book simply daydreaming?

When smoking your pipe do you prefer doing it while listening to music, watching TV, reading a book, or simply staring off into space daydreaming? I just asked this question on the Matches 860 live stream and was wondering how the majority of members here might answer the question.

I personally spend a good portion of the time in the spring, summer and fall smoking either outside or in my garage with music in the background ... while daydreaming.  But in the winter months I tend to watch TV in the evening and smoke while my wife's in bed asleep. As for reading a book, the pipe is a bit of a distraction, either obstructing my view or getting smoke in my eyes.

In warm weather I usually smoke while seated on the rear deck, with a hot or cold beverage, staring at the breeze moving through the trees.

Most of the time, I'm sitting in front of my computer, listening to celtic music as I write. Sometimes I'll read, but it can get a bit complicated. Any time I need to tamp/relight, I risk losing my page.

If I'm outside, I'm definitely daydreaming. Nothing like walking around and letting your thoughts drift with the pipe smoke. Even wrote a blog about it. https://thebadgerpiper.wordpress.com/2019/03/29/smoke-and-be-silent/

I also like listening to old Radio Classic detective and mysteries shows. Sometimes I even listen to the Long Ranger and Superman.

Yes. Absolutely.
Especially if I have nothing else to be doing at the same time.

I go out on long walks every night and have ipod and pipe ready. Sometimes I have a cup of coffee with me also, makes it a bit harder but I manage.

I am an avid reader and a songwriter. There is nothing that will help relax Ole'Pops more with a good book than a pipe and a glass of Rye on the rocks. And when I am writing nothing helps to stimulate the mind more than a pipe and a good hot cup of black coffee. Either way, there is never a wrong time for a pipe...unless I'm in the shower.

I smoke my pipes on the back porch. I usually either Nature watch and quietly contemplate while I smoke, or I sometimes play a lil music.
