Allow me to gloat...
I attended the Annual Mayan Imports Pipe Night in Metairie, La. (just outside of New Orleans) last night. While my time of just under 1 hour in the Long Smoke competition didn't give me the win, it was good enough for second place. The winner of the competition was a first time competitor who nursed his pipe for 1 hour, 10 minutes and 13 seconds. He had first pick of the five pipe prizes and chose a Rocky Patel freehand. I had no choice but to take the Ardor Venere V64 that he didn't want. The winner is in the center of those standing. The two pipe smokers kneeling were the first two to let their pipes go out and received either a corn cob or hardwood pipe. The top five finishers chose in order from the Ardor, Rocky Patel, Chacom, Savinelli and a SMS Meerschaum.
I choose the Ardor Venere.
I choose the Ardor Venere.

There aren’t any gatherings of any sort for pipe smokers around me. I’m interested in this long smoke competition. I’m sure there are rules and regulations of course. Do you mind hitting the high points of it for me?
Well done sir. I have been interested in long smoke competition, but alas there would only be me to compete with myself around here☹️
