Great post @PappyJoe and that's something I tend to love about TPL. Great group of guys throughout the spectrum who generally want to help newbies and enjoy community with other like-minded folks (and for the most part understand the occasional elbowing).

I can imagine the suit gets kind of hot.  How often can you take a break?

I can get up and walk around the sleigh area any time I'm not visiting with children. It does get warm at times but mainly if I'm just sitting and not moving.

@PappyJoe How many kids pull your whiskers to see if you're the real Santa? The beard was always the thing with me when I was a kid. If you have a half an ounce of sense ... even as a kid ... You can normally spot the fake beard a million miles away. And when you're sitting on that fake Santa's lap you know for sure if its a cotton beard. But when-ever I found myself on the lap of a department store Santa who was sporting a real beard I believed I was in the presence of 'the genuine article". If I could tell he was a fake Santa with a phony beard I'll spout out the normal "what I want for Christmas" stuff ... footballs, board games, safe bets - the stuff you're expected to ask for. But you put me on the lap of a old codger with a genuine beard the I'll be spilling my guts and telling him exactly what I want ... a bow and arrow, chemistry set, a tear gas pen, a real projector and a bunch of 8mm monster movies - everything I really wanted but knew my parents would never allow me to have it - or couldn't afford if they had to pay for it. So I'm sure you're getting the real skinny from the kids, so you have a lot of weight on your shoulders to come through. Don't let them down.
