Got A Second Burl-King Thumbhole Bridge Pipe

Over the week-end my son called me and said he had just been to an Estate sale and bought me a unique looking pipe - a Burl-King Thumbhole Bridge Pipe. He was unaware that I had one in my collection. But after explaining that these are free-hand pipes and no two are exactly the same, he felt a little better. And once he brought it over and compared the two he realized there was considerable difference in both the color and size. And the price was exceptional - $15.00. I paid over $50.00 for mine. So I thought I'd post a picture of the new one as well as the pair. Already smoked the new pipe and it smokes like a dream.

UNSMOKED Tobacco Pipe Marked "Carey Magic Inch 1941 Israel" - FREE SHIPPING!
US $142.99
The Burl King was made in Israel by the Shalom Pipe Company. The Carey pipe pictured looks like one of the Magic Inch series made by Shalom for Carey. I own several Shalom pipes including Burl Kings ,Alphas etc. Fifteen for a Burl King is a really nice deal.
From my past dealings with Shalom's pipes, I believe this pipedia article covers the basics for those interested.

I have a pair of 221B Baker Street Pipes also manufactured by Shalom Pipe Company. The reason I have a pair is because I was lucky enough to find a second on EBAY for $25.00.
