So, before I took a break from Facebook, a user in the Cob Nation Group was kind enough to post scans of an old Missouri Meerschaum catalog. I’ll give credit once I can stomach going back on Facebook (not a commentary on Cob Nation, but Facebook itself), but I thought I’d share the scans I saved to my phone. It’s facinating to look through, and I wish Missouri Meerschaum would put some of these old shapes back into production.

Just went on Cob Nation and confirmed that the post was made by a user with the name Kevin D (Last name withheld to keep the user's privacy, I'm only sharing this much so he get's credit). The catalog is apparently from 1955.

I really like my cobs (might be little bias being for Missouri) would love to find a cob with a square shank. I like square shanks over typical round shanks.

@RandyB1966 I agree, the square shanks look great on a cob. I wish Missouri Meerschaum would consider bringing back their square shank cobs. I'd buy them.

Sweet prices. I enjoy looking back at the old ads and checking on the retail prices back then. Twenty-five cents for a cob ... you can't even buy a quarter for 25 cents anymore. Well ... let's just say a quarter isn't worth a nickel anymore.
