Look what was on the latest Barnes and Noble bag. I’m surprised in this current PC world we live in that this pic of Tom enjoying his pipe made it through all the layers of marketing execs. Glad it did though.
I'll bet that's probably Huck smoking, having slid out from the Widow's. "Huckleberry Finn" is, of course, one of the greatest of all American novels. Those of us who are politically left are well aware that the best adult in the book is Jim.
Wow. Maybe they changed the story a bit and alluded the fact he is smoking weed. That seems to socially acceptable now. But yet smoking is hated ...hmmm. but smoking weed is ok with everyone. I'm so confused 😱
Had a neighbor once (back in Portland, OR around 1978) who bragged about how when his doctor ordered him to stop smoking cigarettes, he actually did so. But at the same time, he gleefully increased and continued his pot smoking.
The guy never did impress me about much of anything. My experience from encounters with pot smokers is that they tend to be very, very dull, and far too easily (and overly) impressed by inanities.
