Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who carried us for nine months then had to put up with us. Lol. My mom is a strong lady who has been fighting terminal breast cancer for 2 years. She doesn’t want radiation or chemo, but her intelligence is amazing because her determination to survive is so great. I’m very grateful I get to be called her son.

Well, this isn’t about pipe smoking, but it is about mothers. Thought I’d post a pic of a pretty good mom....she’s on her second nest of the season and has moved about 30 feet from the first nest in a pear tree to the top of an old cedar gate post where I can watch her doings if I’m smoking on the porch.

Thanks you guys! As long as my mom is alive and kicking, the good times will keep rolling. We are planning another monthly trip to downtown Orange. On top of all the antique stores, I found a new pipe shop that carries tins and some Lane bulk.
