Just finished three hours of yard work.  I'm exhausted but hell, it's Cinco de Mayo and I'm not one to shy away from a party!  I'll be heading to me local where I'll watch the Kentucky Derby with whomever shows up..  Not much of a Cinco de Mayo party, but still fun.

Also...free boxing on HBO featuring Gennady Golovkin aka GGG. This man is extremely gifted at the Sweet Science. His original opponent got popped for steroids and we get a free fight although the PPV would’ve been fantastic without the cheating.

Not much of a race horse guy, but I might check in on the Kentucky Derby.

Cinco de Mayo is another made up holiday not celebrated in the country its supposed to have originated in. It was created to sell Mexican food and tequila

I’m just happy there was a bunch of sports on tv cause I have no friends. Lol. Made some Mexican food, but that’s just like any other day around here when I feel like cooking. I don’t observe it as part of my heritage though.

Yesterday at work, some of my co-workers brought flautas, tortillas, and chicken/beef for tacos. I bought my favorite Mexican soda for the occasion and had a good time.

Home made Chelada. Not necessarily special to Cinco De Mayo because I make one after work nearly every day.

LOL, well, I'm Italian and have nothing to do with this holiday either but it's still fun to gather with friends and cook. That's what we did.

@Londy3 ~ The Chelada is basically a Bloody Mary with beer.  Well, with clam juice and lime.  It's the type of drink that you either love or hate. I fall into the first category. My wife is firmly in the latter.

In my experience, the clam juice, lime and tomato juice just barely disguises the last of the Lite beer.
