The best blend I have ever smoked is one that got me hooked on pipe smoking, C&D Hard Cider Cavendish. Unfortunately, they no longer produce it. It was the first blend I could sit and smoke all day with no bite, just sweet enough to keep me interested with just a tang to keep me awake. Now, I save what I have left for special occasions.
That's really a hard one to answer because it seems every month or two I find a blend that I like better than the ones before it. At various times it may have been Sutliff Vanilla Custard, Molto Dolce, or East India Trading Company "Officer's Club", Russ' Monthly Blend "Warm Up", as well as my blend Mrs. Hudson's 221B Bakery Blend which contains the Sutliff blends Vanilla Custard, Chocolate Mousse, Crème Brulee, and Irish Cream. I'd still consider them my best blends - but who knows what I'll find tomorrow.
Shoot, I dunno. For lat blends, I am fond of Dunhill MM1938 and Peterson Old Dublin. For something closer to what I would consider a Balkan, Hearth and Home White Knight gets the nod, although Balkan Sasieni is pretty good, too. Codger burleys - Lane Ready Rubbed, hands down. Virginias - Capstan Original (I prefer the ready rubbed), McCranie's Red Ribbon, Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake. Aromatics - I don't smoke a lot of these, but am quite fond of W.O. Larsen Signature. There is no "all-day smoke" for me - I can't smoke anything that much. I need variety.
This is scary but, I don't have one. I only have like two or three bowls on the weekend. I don't really touch my pipes during the week. I have ones I like a lot but there are more I have not tried than I have tried.
@Londy3 I'm with you. It is scary, but I don't have a favorite blend yet either. I will say I do have one blend I seem to always smoke more than others... Black Toasted Cavendish...
I'm in the same boat as @Corey562. I have a favorite blend but it's always been hard to find and last summer the blender changed the name from Exotic Orange to Exotic Passion and they are not shipping it to the U.S..

Back in the real world though it would be Dunhill MM 965 & BB1938.
If it were Aro's, it would be Sutliff Peach Cobbler
