Question for members? Just recently tried C&D, Autumn Evening, We Three Kings,and Black Gold Maple. Liked them all so my question is is can anyone recommend any of the tins by C&D? Keep in mind I'm a strictly aromatic  type blends. Your thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

Sorry buflosab I'm strictly English. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend C&D's Bayou Night. A great perique blend. A bit fruity, a lot peppery.

Nutty Irishmen is a good one I enjoy as an aromatic along with apricots and creme.

Two Friends Celtic Mist is produced by C&D and it's a good smoke. I personally like C&D blends - especially their Christmas Blends. For aromatics from them, I would also recommend: King Cake. 

Since you're strictly a aromatic kind of guy, I would be remiss if I didn't point you in the direction of some of the Rattray's blends: Exotic Orange, Bagpipe Dream & Winter Edition. 

Mac Baren St. Bruno Flake, Plumcake and Scottish Blend are also pretty good.

@buflosab While they're not C&D, I suggest checking out the bulk tobaccos that Just For Him sells. Their most popular series is based on Lord of the Rings, and Shortcut to Mushrooms is one of the finest aromatic blends I've ever smoked.

McConnell's Ripe Honeydew is another classic aromatic with a more uncommon aroma to it. I was a big fan of McClelland's Honeydew flake until McClelland shut down. I can say though that Ripe Honeydew fills the void left by McClelland.

@thebadgerpiper, Thank you for taking the time to respond, tried to order from Just for Him at one time and unfortunately they don't or should I say they can't take the only credit card I have (MasterCard) , the only way around it is a money order.I may at some point go through this setup, but again thank you for the information it is much appreciated.

@buflosab I forgot about the Mastercard issue. That is an unfortunate problem, and it seems like a company shouldn't be able to tell you what you can and can't buy (But what do I know, I'm just a pipe smoker). If you're able to get around the problem, or find yourself in Springfield, Missouri, I definitely recommend Shortcut to Mushrooms.

Ok thanks man.I figured if I did the moneyorder route,it would take time because I live in FLA, Just For Him is out West  or Northwest and then take time to recieve the product, just didn't seem to be worth it. But I will keep your suggestion in mind.

@buflosab. I agree with @SLCarrico about apricots and cream, which is definitely great if you are a black cavendish fan.  If the new pipe smoker leans to the aromatics, I like to have them try that.  I like to spread it out and dry a bowls worth on a peace of paper for a couple hours before smoking.

@Subtilis87, hey welcome toTPL,thank you for the information. I did purchase some Apricots and Cream awhile back and was impressed with this blend.Been smoking a pipe for quite awhile, prefer aromatics. Also like C&D Autumn Evening, Again welcome.
