Nice @pappyjoe! I have some Holiday Cheer, but that's about all I've tried. I'm afraid I'll either A. like them too much and then be disappointed when they are gone, or B. pay a lot for a tin of it and hate it.
@pappyjoe I've been toying with getting the Peterson Summer editions. The only thing holding me back is that I can still find 2014 and 2015 online. I would think if they were amazing there wouldnt be any still floating around at major online retailers....any experience with the summer blends?
@PipeProfessor - I don't view that as a good measuring stick because we have no way of knowing how much was produced. The quantities of tobaccos used when it was produced may have been such that they made larger batches.
I have a Autumn tradition of "seasonal limited" blends starting with Straus' Sleepy Hollow and follow up with Peretti;s Thanksgiving Day. I cant wait for fall, best time of year for pipe smoking.
@thewonderingdude...I LOVE Sleepy Hollow. A friend gave me some last fall, and then they did another batch for IPS Day, so I grabbed 8oz back in February. It has been sitting in a jar ever since, so I can't wait to open it up. I need to try that Thanksgiving Day, the name alone sounds amazing.
I have a holiday blend from 2012. I can't remember the name of it, I jarred it way back when and dip into it only every now and again. It's not the best, infact I don't think it's good at all. It came recommended to me from the guys at my local. I'm sure the majority of people would like it, it's just too much for me
@PipeProfessor I will take your advice, though after 4 years, I can not imagine it getting any better. Who knows, maybe in 40yrs it'll be good and my kids can smoke it on the day I die.
The only limited releases I have are Borkum Riff Limited Editions I received with an order from Pipes and Cigars because I spent over a specific amount. Have yet to open and try them.
I guess with the impending FDA Deeming Regulations a discussion such as this on Limited Editions will be about older blends already in our cellars and not anything new on the horizon.
@ghostsofpompeii -- I think 'twould be appropriate to call a "Limited edition." 1) It only exists in the Realm of Ideas.... you can't go out and buy it 2) If you want to actualize Mrs. Hudson's, you are required to make it yourself.

OK, maybe, but what other blends have developed from Mrs. Hudson's formula?
