The Flu ... Part Two: The Sequel
Apparently there are two different strains of the flu currently going around. And as luck would have it I managed to contract both weeks apart. I'm just recovering for the second round and hope this flu bug isn't part of a new trilogy.
Unlike cigarette smoking, pipe smokers can stop smoking a pipe 'cold turnkey' for any number of days without getting the nic jitters. So when someone tells you smoking a pipe is just as addictive as smoking a cigarette, feel free to insert your least favorite pipe into their nearest orifice or the one you feel will get the greater effect. Just don't plan on smoking it again. AS for me, I didn't miss smoking one bit ... but did miss the ability to breath, as my lungs were on fire and filled with congestion. Felt like someone had scrubbed my the inside of my lungs with sandpaper.
I'm on the up and up and fully expect to smoke a bowl this evening. And I'll begin with the last blend I had before the savage bug took up residence in my lung. The blend was Russ' Cinnamon Roll ... and it was delicious. Looking forward to it. Glad to be back among the living.

As to addiction, I tell people a pipe is like a really good steak, or maybe dessert, you get a craving but can easily do without. Not like cigarettes at all. I don't have a pipe worthy of the mentioned insertion. I'll just use my boot as it hoses off easily enough.
Hope your remaining recovery is fast and that your done with being sick in 2018.
But seriously, I do wish this for everyone here.
