my first real trip the ER...I’ve fallen on the same spot on my hip/thigh creating a hematoma then a couple more times finally resulting a complete leg that was black and blue.

Yikes!

My son had a piece of bone "thrown away" because it couldn't be fastened during the reconstructing. So he has a metal plate for an elbow, and cannot straighten his arm.

@motie2 I kept foolishly pushing myself to do better and better. Actually found my first Briar when I was nursing a groin pull. Lol. Getting that pipe was the best medicine.

Mostly my major illnesses have precluded smoking. The nice thing about that is the total lack of any discomfort due to any withdrawal from it.
