Ropp and meerschaum lined

Does anyone remember Ropp cherry wood pipes? They were relatively cheap and looked rustic. Kind of like a cherry wood version of a corncob. They smoked well after a relatively long break-in period. Does anyone remember meerschaum lined briar pipes? I recall that Medico offered them for a good long while. Both were working man's pipes.

I recently picked up an older Ropp on eBay. I haven't refinished it yet.    All I'm really going to do with this one is ream and sanitize the bowl and sand and polish the stem. I'll be added it to my fishing pipe rotation.

You can still buy meerschaum lined pipes. P&C has a halfway decent selection of them. Here's a link to the baraccini's they have.

I bought my first lined pipe a few months ago. I smokes good but I prefer my briar
