I have a family member going to Ireland. Does anyone know if you get a better price for a  pipe bought at Peterson's pipes

@DavidR002 right now the US dollar goes further in Europe. I had a friend who went to the Peterson store and bought a pipe that I had picked out. What I discovered was there was a few dollars of savings, even if you bought it online here or at your local B&M.
For me it was more to say it was from the Peterson store in Dublin, than any true cost of savings.

  • I left something important out, if you do decide to go down this route, you maybe able to find some older unsomoked pipes. Just have them ask the store clerks.
  • @DavidR002, I heard there is more of a selection to choose from over there than what is offered to us in the USA.
  • I've been to Peterson's store in Dublin, and I highly recommend it to all pipe smokers who venture to the emerald isle. The pipes are much more affordable in store, so I recommend bringing some spending money to load up on some great briars. I've walked away with four pipes from my two visits, and they're all great smokers. If you're looking to buy tobacco, the prices are more than what you'll pay online. But if you can, pick up a blend like Condor, which you can't find in the USA.
  • My wife bought me a Peterson every year for 7 years, there was at that time a Peterson Counter in the Shannon Duty Free and the savings were really great as there was no tax. Today they are sales taxed and then have a VAT on top of that. They're still lower than here.
