Can't get it out of my head

I have a serious illness.  I saw a pipe at the B & M in Hartford weeks ago and I can't get it out of my head. It was simply stunning.  Sleek, with an unusually long stem that had a wavy, groovy, lava lamp-like pattern.  Not as long as a Churchwarden but long and streamlined like one.  It was light as a feather and surprisingly for some reason, fit perfectly in my hand.  It came with either a smooth bowl or rusticated.  It had a certain je ne sais quoi .  I swore I was going to cut back on my pipe purchases after blowing the bank wide open all year last year and part of the end of 2016, yet I did it again.  I bought the damn thing.  What the hell is wrong with me?!

Damn you, Savinelli and smokingpipes.com.  Damn you both and all your blasted, wonderful pipes.

@jim102864 That happens to me a lot when checking out Corey's pipes and several I've seen on EBAY from H.S. Studio. I'll follow those EBAY pipes until the bids get too high for me to even consider buying. And after the haul I got this Christmas of 8 pipes, I don't think I can justify another pipe purchase until the next big holiday comes around.

@ghostsofpompeii  I assume that by the next big holiday you are referring to Groundhog Day. As I recall, that’s coming up on February 2nd.

I was once told by a very wise person that in order to give up something, you must replace it with something else of equal or greater value. I am now able to hold my pipe lusting down (most of the time) by concentrating on acquiring and building my tobacco inventory. But alas, it doesn't work all the time. @Topaz75 I understand today was official Pie Day, but my wife didn't think that merited an expensive gift for myself. Although she did agree on a pecan pie.

@Corey562 Yeah, you see a pipe that needs to be released from inside a block with a lot of hard work, and I see what a discarded, neglected, or throw-away pipe could become with a little hard work...

@Londy3 Bourbon it is, though it might be beer first as I'm going to Boston for a beer fest on Saturday.  Of course my wife will tell you there is no remedy for my condition.

I guess no one has noticed the picture of the pipe in question.  Ain't she a beauty?

Jim, it could have been whiskey, it could have been drugs, it could have even been loose wimmen. However, you turned a different corner, and chose the PAD vice, which doesn't create near the ripple effect of those other vices. That is what I would tell my wife, if I still had a wife.
