@BlueCollarBastard  I envy you ... you seem to be at the stage I was about two years ago - discovering new blends and flavors. Before you settle in a blend you really like, savoy this journey of discovery as you experience all the different tobaccos, flavors, and blends.

I took advantage of the sale on p&c.com but one ounce get one free.  I've heard good stuff about Captain Black Dark. They had a limited selection for the sale.  Plus getting a new pipe.  An Aldo Morelli Bent Egg.

I have recently gotten out of the habit of buying nothing but Russes blends from P&C.Tried many of the Sutliff brands and so far the good has outweighed the ones I don't care for. It's a process of elimination.

@buflosab My favorites of the Russ blends are "Warm-Up", "Candy Corn", "Spring Break", and "Snow Drift". Also enjoy "Cinnamon Roll" and "Ice Cream Sundae" - but when I run out of those two blends I won't be replacing them. But "Warm-Up" is indispensable.

I just purchased two tins of Barbados Plantation. I figure if it really sucks I can send it to someone on TPL who smokes it.

@PappyJoe I’m curious to hear what you think of it coming right out of the tin.  I smoked 1.5 ounces of BP a while back and currently have a tin waiting to be opened.  I liked it, but found it to be an excessively moist tobacco.

I liked many of the same blends you mentioned ghostsofpompeii,I would also add Candy Cane Cocoa.

@PappyJoe -- For a pipe smoker of your evident experience and sophistication regarding tobacco blends to order two cans of BP has me eager to hear your opinion. I hope you will let us know how you find the blend. 

BTW: If you missed his post, @ghostsofpompeii determined that Sutliff Sunset Rum (bulk) is -- for all intents and purposes -- the same blend as BP, even as Creme Brulée appears to be cloned Molto Dolce.

What about Cult Blood Red Moon? Been reading some good  reviews but it's out of stock everywhere.  Which might mean it's good.

@PappyJoe If you don't like the BP, let me know since I was getting ready to order some for a 1st try also. I would probably be able to take one off your hands if you want to get rid of it...

@KA9FFJ - It may be awhile before I get to it but I will let you know when I do.

I'm finishing off a tin of Newminster's Blackberry Brandy at the moment and highly recommend it.
