I Bought My First Corey Pipe

I've been lusting after this pipe for some time now, since the first time I laid eyes on it. And finally decided to pull the trigger. I figure I've been buying pipes from manufactures like Nording, Peterson, and Big Ben ... but I've never owned an original Corey Pipe. And his pipes looks as amazing as anything from the guys who charge a month's wages. I felt kind of bad after purchasing that last pipe from H.S. Studio when I should have been supporting a friend and one of our own who has shared his creations with the group. Especially after I've been praising his work to no end ... so I thought it was time to put my money where my mouth was and pony up and buy my first Corey Pipe. It's exactly the type of unique design I'm attracted to. Can't wait to see it in person.

If anyone's seen my collection which has appeared in the Daily Briar Photoshoot and 31 Days Of Halloween you know by now that my choice of pipes is anything but conservative. I like pipes that look unique. Many of which I'd probably be embarrassed to bring along with me the first time I attend a Pipe Meeting. Afraid the old timers would give me the stink-eye and send me packing if I show up with some gaudy looking pipe. For that reason I have both traditional pipes in my collection as well. But for the most part like something with a little flair that makes them stand out from one another - and this pipe fits the bill. Plus it's also a pipe I could proudly take to that first meeting with no fear of reprisal.

My pipe arrived today and it is absolutely breath taking. My wife loves it almost as much as I do. She said the finish looks like a fine piece of furniture. I can't wait to smoke it - but I'll have to wait until after Christmas. Guys before you consider buying a new Peterson, Savinelli or other name brand manufactured pipe do yourself a favor and pick up one of Corey's pipes instead. I have three Nordings, two Petersons, and several Big Ben Pipes and all are beautiful ... but as for craftsmanship and unique design this pipe clearly outshines them all. No bullsh*t, I'm dead serious.

@ghostsofpompeii I did it... I made the plunge and finally bought myself a "Corey" pipe. I managed to scrap up the moola sent it on it's merry way... It's going to be a great functioning work of art. I'm glad I finally did it...

Ok @ghostsofpompeii @Corey562 It arrived about an hour ago. It has been so long since I purchased a new pipe, I'd almost forgotten what raw briar looks like in the inside of a bowl... I will be contemplating for a while what blend to use for break-in... This is a pipe that will take center stage in my collection...
