Another Pipe Sale At P&C - Ordered Cheap Italian Volcano

P&C is having another pipe sale with prices as low as $14.99. Now I didn't see anything listed for as low as $14.99 in stock, did find a pretty little Italian briar Volcano pipe for $29.99 that I ordered. For a price like that you can't really go wrong. Other than not being drilled out properly to get a pipe cleaner through to the bowl, I've yet to buy an inexpensive briar - or even pear wood pipe, that didn't smoke well. As far as I'm concerned provided you pack the pipe with good tobacco most any pipe should give you a nice smoke. Here is a picture of the pipe as advertised.

@ghostsofpompeii -- Looks a lot like the Carey Volcano ($15.90) I won a couple of weeks ago, no?. Volcanoes are one of my favorite pipe shapes.

I remember you posting the picture a while back and that must have been in the back of my mind when I was looking at the pipes on P&C and this one caught my eye. Your planting subliminal messages into my brain. I also order two additional tines of Barbados Plantation. I'm going to have to quite hanging around with you, you're a bad influence.

@motie2, if your interested, Tim West has a Carey Freehand from the 70's on his eBay site, right now it is up to $21.03 I know you stated that you don't spend over $20.00 for a pipe but it's worth a look.

Just received my order - and unfortunately no pipe. Apparently they sold out. Had to call them and let them know they still charged me for the pipe - but after a brief phone call everything was straightened out. They even offered a replacement volcano at a higher price ... but it was no where near as nice looking so I opted for the refund. Damn! Well ... it's not like I don't have another pipe to smoke so I guess I'll be happy with what I have. It's just that this particular pipe really caught my eye - and for $29.00 how could I go wrong.

I didn't make an issue of it but they also substituted one of my Barbados Plantation tins with Taste Of Summer. Didn't say anything about that when I called them because I was more worried about the pipe I didn't get and wanted to make sure I wasn't charged for it. If what you're suggesting is true they better be careful, after that last snafu they don't need another one.

They've not messed up my few orders, but neither has Smokingpipes.com
To me, it's six of one; a half dozen of another. 
But I like the reviews at P&C.
