New Tobbaco

Just was informed Country Squire has two new blends called Texas Tea and Northwest Trek.

  • I've tried Texas Tea and I love it! It is an aromatic, but not overpowering. The flavors are subtle and it is a delightful smoke.
  • Thanks for the reply,I have not tried any of the new blends from Country Squire, it's great to hear an opinion on one of them.
  • Not a NEW tobacco, but a forgotten tobacco:

This afternoon I had to drive some distance to watch my Twin Grandsons play in a championship football game.

I packed (2) pipes, both briars and both wonderful smokers. On the way to the game I smoked my favorite Sutliff Vanilla Custard / Carter Hall mix and enjoyed every minute of my ride. As it turns out my Grandsons' team took an unusual beating, losing their bracket in the playoffs. But, they have to also learn how to lose gracefully and sportsmanlike.

On my way home I fired up the preloaded second pipe with Lane RLP-6. Well, what a wonderful smoke that was. I had forgotten how great this blend tastes and smells. I have always read that it is the bulk version of Captain Black White which I cannot wrap my little mind around. This is a wonderful blend of tobacco. I am not here to provide a review, but just to celebrate a wonderful blend that I have not smoked in many months while looking for my "WOW" blend Which by the way I have done (I smoked it on the way TO the game).

I thoroughly enjoyed my Veterans' Day.
  • It's always good to find a Great Smoke. Carter Hall is my favorite Codger Blend. I often tame a biting tobacco with Black Cavendish and I never thought about mixing CH into it. I put the remainders of my English/Balkan tins together into a glass jar, maybe I'll try adding some Carter Hall for a 50/50 mix.
  • @Woodsman

You will NOT be sorry, Carter Hall is amazing stuff.
