Bourbon Blend

Hey guys, I am a big fan of good bourbon preferably bottled in bond. Its hard to find a good tasting bourbon tobacco so i am trying something new. Fermenting pipe Tobacco in cask strength bourbon by Makers Mark. So far it smells amazing. We shall see how this pans out. Has anyone ever modified or made a blend better by tinkering with it? Any advice?

I will watch with interest but what bourbon flavored blends have you tried so far. There are a number that are better than Borkum Riff.

Hey @PappyJoe, what do you suggest? I'd love to try a good one. The reason I got Borkum Riff is ignorance of other good blends and the user information/video/reviews on how good this one is.

Comoy's Cask No. 5 Bullet Rye

If you are looking for a pipe tobacco that is going to make you forget what you are drinking, don't bother. It doesn't exist.

@PappyJoe, looking for something to complement a good bourbon.

@Londy3 - Just my opinion but I wouldn't go with a bourbon flavored tobacco to complement a good bourbon. To me one would overwhelm the other. On the aromatic side, I would probably pick a tobacco with a light vanilla topping or a straight Virginia or light English. With the English Blend I would look for something very light on the Orientals.

@PappyJoe, agreed. My bad.  I do like wild hare and LL7 with a bourbon. So far I like it. A good vanilla would be great. What is a good one to try?
