No place around here to get tinned tobacco,but my question is this? All the pictures I've seen of the tinned Tobbaco,it doesn't really look like theirs a whole lot of tobacco,someone set me straight.

Most tins start out as 1.5 to 1.75 oz. some go up to other sizes like 3.5 oz. size. Some are available in bulk as well.

Figure you'll use 4 to 5 grams per pipe full and an oz. is 28 grams if that's what you're asking.

Thank you for the comments, got more of  an idea about tin Tobbaco. Again thanks for the info.

@buflosab One thing you'll notice after opening a tin us that it's packed in there really tight. So it can be deceiving. Once you break it up a little, you'll see there is a lot more in there than you might imagine. And then on the flipside you'll have a tin of something like Molto Dolce that once you open the tin it appears it's only two-thirds full because of all the sweet casing on it. Lightly cased aromatics or English blends tend to be filled to the brim. Yet by weight - the amount is the same. Every time I open a tin of Molto Dolce I get pissed and think I'm being screwed.

Thanks ghost,good info.They just look so small to me.Guess if you buy tins buy bulk.Thanks again.Guess I will have to purchase a tin or two and find out for myself.

Sutliff, for example, makes several rum flavored blends in bulk,. None of them measure up to their tinned Barbados Plantation.
