P&C No Longer Carrying Captain Black Products In Bulk Due To FDA Regulations
Just visited the P&C site with intention of picking up some bulk Captain Black since it's currently on sale. Unfortunately I also discovered in the process that they will no longer be selling any Captain Black products in bulk due to FDA Regulations. I'm not sure what those regulations might be - but according to their website they will only be offering Captain Black in the pouch or tin ... and as for buying in bulk it is limited to either 8oz. or 1 pound bags. That's a shame because buying Captain Black in bulk on line has been a lot cheaper than buying a pouch at the local drug store.
I wonder if this is going to affect other tobacco shops that carry Captain Black in bulk as well? And if so will it eventually lead to all bulk tobacco like Lane Limited, Sutliff, Peter Stokkebye, and McClelland restricting purchases to 8 oz. or 1 lb. bags only. If so, that will really hurt those of us who like to experiment with an ounce or two before committing to a large quantity of new blends. That's going to put an immediate halt on any more new discoveries for me because I'm not going to commit to 8oz of something I may not enjoy enough to return to on a regular rotation.

Also checked under LANE, the Captain's parent company.
Those who like it, like it.
But, whether de gustibus.... or not, you can buy an ounce and a half of better tobacco for less than $17.00 including shipping, online.
1Q is CB Royal, RLP-6 is CB, BCA is CB Dark and I think HS-3 is CB Gold.
