Mr Brog pipes

Does anyone have any experiences with any Mr. Brog pipes?  Any history?  Any suggestions on if they are decent inexpensive pipes?

No advice here but I did buy a lighter from them that works well. I usually stick with what I know.

I have 4 Mr. Brogs. One briar and the other are Pears. Additionally, I have given Mr. Brog pearwood pipes to both of my sons. 
The pearwood pipes are good inexpensive pipes but they do tend to smoke a little hotter to touch than a briar depending on the thickness of the bowl walls. The Mr. Brog briar pipes does better, but still will get slightly hotter to touch than a more expensive briar. That being said, they aren't any hotter than any other inexpensive briars.

On the plus side is that he has some interesting shapes.

I am happy with my Mr. Brog's.

I have two Mr. Brig pear wood pipes. Both smoke okay. Bought from Amazon because they were so cheap and wanted to try out a non-briar wooden pipe. My main complaint is that the chamber is too narrow. Can't get much tobacco in either one. In all fairness I haven't really broken either in yet. I need to smoke them more to fully assess their quality & smokeability.

@jfreedy - the narrow chambers are good for smoking flakes.

I have 1 Mr. Brog, Green Pear wood pipe, smokes good, I use it for my Eileen's Dream.

@Wolf41035, are these long stems or short?  I have a short bent but haven't smoked it yet.  does the pear wood get hot pretty quickly compared to briar?

Have never had a Mr. Brog pipe did think about getting one just never hot around to it.

My son got me a Mr. Brog pipe last Christmas. A good, lightweight briar pipe. The problem was the finish on the pipe was uneven and sin some places looked overly layered.

I'm showing 2 pics. One pic is the original finish. The other pic shows the pipe after I removed the "lacquered" finish, two-toned stained and polished. Notice I kept the original finish as a band on the shank just to remind me what it used to look like.

Most importantly, it has proven to be a great smoker...

I have a pear calabash by Mr. Brog and it smokes as good as my Grabow's and an old beater BC I use while doing lawn work.

I have one pipe from Mr. Brog, a well shaped 1/2 bent Morta with a 11/16" X 1 5/16" bore. I'm still breaking it in.

Mr. Brog also makes some nice inexpensive briars.

I did order myself a Mr. Borg pipe.  I have aleady smoked my first bowl in it.  Very pleased.
