Old Classic tobacco came today - picture heavy

Last week I found this guy who had a 14 oz. tin of an old, long discontinued tobacco I've wanted to try.
The mail came today:

I opened the tin.

This is what the tobacco looks like. It isn't overly moist but it isn't dry either. It's still very supple and has a good burley aroma.

Have to finish some work today, but will be smoking some of this later.

@PappyJoe I saw an empty tin in an antique store a while back. Do you know when it was discontinued? And does burley age like Virginia and Latakia blends? I've got an old unopened tin of Velvet that has to be somewhere between 15 and 20 years old and wondered if a cheaper tobacco like Velvet could get better with age.

I am smoking a bowl now. Smooth. No bite.
@ghostsofpompeii I have been told it was discontinued in 1974. The price stamped on the tin was $1.19.
It does sort of remind me of Prince Albert.
