While enjoying your pipe, what surroundings or environment do you like most to be in? 

Here I am enjoying a cob, coffee and the smokey mountains along with Pilot Mountain.

While I smoke my pipe mainly in the garage, there's nothing quite like smoking a pipe by water. There's a bench close by the channel nearby my house that I'll smoke my pipe at and watch the fish. Last time I had a pipe while sitting by the water, I saw an otter swim by off in the distance.

This beautiful morning I have my new Rossi Rubino with LL7, fresh ground locally roasted coffee....and a good video off the YTPC.

I'm in a heavily wooded area, I love sitting out on the patio smoking and watching all the critters about their business.

Thought to bump up this thread. it would be fun to show a picture of your surroundings where you enjoy your pipe. I posted the one me with Pilot Mountain in the background. What's your favorite spot? Let's see a picture.

Is it possible to upload a .mov file?  I took a video of the stream near my house last week while having some Old Dublin.  Don't know if it will work.

My favorite spot currently, is wherever I land, somewhere between Alabama and Arizona. I haven't taken time to take any pics yet, but Geronimo's monument would certainly be a great place to start. when I am not behind schedule. I need to get myself a selfie stick, in spite of the fact that they have been banned.....

@mfresa -- Dunno, try attaching it. If it doesn't work, zip the file and try attaching that. I've had luck uploading .zips

@motie2, tried to email the .mov from my phone to the desktop, the server rejected it as being too large.  I will inquire as to size limits and try again with something brief.

Earlier today, I went to my favorite smoking spot to have a pipe. I had to scare off a flock of geese to get there, but it was worth having a moment of peace out in the fresh air.

Geese took over the lawns at a local cemetery. 
Slippery and gross.
Goose-poop is the bane of quiet, dignified departures.

@Londy3 Three screens? Impressive set up. When I worked with dual screens at my last job, I felt like I had so much power. Do you work from home?

@thebadgerpiper, yes sir. That is my personal home office set up. I've had this for many years. It works well for me.

@pwkarch, awesome!  Looks like a hot tub as well. I had a very similar set up in my house up north. Working on that again down south...only better this time.

Thank you Gentlemen.....unfortunately Superstorm Sandy did some rearranging. Since then the huge double white oak has been removed, and the hot tub is no longer there as well.

@Londy3 I here ya. I spend a lot of time at work as well. I lucky enough to be able to enjoy a bowl. Lucky I am not the only pipe smoker here.

@pwkarch Bad luck on the tree/hot tub loss. Is the house intact. I've had 2 trees slam the house and 3 brushes, mostly due to the Chinese Ash Borer. I've had the dead ashes cut back 50' from  northwest side and the 75' 15' around Black Walnut is going this Fall and right next to that is a 75' Tulip Tree that my neighbor id having cut down at the same time, I still like trees near to my house, only lighter ones like the Choke Cherry that Swooshed down just missing the house the last wind storm after A 2 week period of Frog Strangling rain, roots pulled right out of the ground.

We bought our house four years ago. Right before the closing, the hurricane du jour dropped an enormous black gum tree on our new garage and our new neighbor's garage, destroying both.

The storm did a number all around here. The winds took down approx. 30' off the top of one of that double white oak. Problem was, we had babied that tree(s) for almost 40 years having it checked by an Agronomist, having bores taken and sampled, cabeling the two leaders together and having about 30% or so of the tops taken off to lighten the load. Sandy had other ideas, the most inspiring thing was, the section that came down ended up less than 5' from our statue of the Blessed Mother.....a sign for sure. We had holes punched into 2 outside decks, a crushed chimnea, and a ruined hot tub cover. We lost all sorts of garden lighting and the yard looked like there had been a battlefield. But we were safe and sound while so so many people within the general area were devastated. Our worst issue was being out of electric for about a week.

Ever since then we have had many trees taken down that were within striking distance of the house. We are high on a hill just off of the bay with our first floor over +40' MLW so flood waters are not an issue unless we have a Tsunami, but the NE and E winds here off the open bay fetch can be quite an issue.

That is what we get for living almost right on the water

@pwkarch, I moved off the beach for the same reason.  The wind knows no boundaries, unfortunately.
