@mfresa; You are right of course, but I love a challenge and it is such a pretty little thing and smokes really well. I'll give it a whirl and see if it works. Thanks for the two cents.
In the famous words of the director dude on one of the early episodes of MASH called Yankee Doodle Doctor "I never compromise, I go straight to surrender" That's why I always pay someone else to restore pipes
@mfresa; I tried the superglue on the crack in the bottom of the pipe I asked about on 12/4. It worked and it didn't take much glue. It doesn't show and it smokes great.
This is my opinion only. I have thought that “Shinypipes” has been a shyster seller from the first interaction I had with them. I have not, nor will ever buy a pipe from that particular EBay seller.
For the crack in the shank of the briar, try a light and I mean a VERY light amount of gorilla glue. I try and get it where it does not get to the smoke channel. You can see when it starts expanding to wipe the excess off. I’ve tried super glue and it never seems to hold. Keep it clamped when you are gluing. I’ve only had to do this on one of my old Yello-Bole Rhodesian pipes. Good luck!

That evaluation has been going around for a couple of years now
