Everyone has heard to pack a pipe first pack it like a baby, then pack it like a lady, last pack it like a man. My friend just shared with me. Pack it first like Batman, second pack it like Superman, last pack it like the Hulk.

@Hiker007 yes, I heard the baby, lady, and man part.  It works pretty well, tamping down with one's little finger.
